It's funny the way life brings people back into your life. I knew Kari in a "that's the really good soccer player on my sister's soccer team" sort of way when she was probably in sixth grade, so it struck me by the most pleasantest of surprises when I saw an email in my inbox from this very same, but grown up Kari. It's been so much fun to reconnect and get to know Kari in this new stage in her life as well as her fiance, Josh. These two had the idea to take some photos in the snow. Being 35 weeks pregnant, these two were incredibly accommodating to me in constantly "checking in" on how I was doing during this photo shoot. Josh also took us to different locations in the subaru to limit our exposure to the elements. :) I was undeservedly blessed to take this couple's photos and we had a blast in the snow and frigid (!) temperatures, and I think the pictures reflect accurately the kindness, affection, and sweetness of this couple. They are wonderful people. I can't wait to experience the fun and laughs at their September wedding!
Then we went inside and Josh's mom made us cider...and offered cookies...and cake. If there is one way to my heart it is through good hospitality and sugar. Also, p.s., isn't Kari's ring the most gorgeous of rings? It is the most incredible heirloom piece of jewelry I think I've ever seen. Way to go, Josh.
